We are seeking a technically competent and commercially driven
Chemical Engineer
to support the
design, selection, costing, sales, and technical support of heat exchangers and industrial scrubber systems
.
The successful candidate will work closely with customers to understand their process requirements, develop suitable engineering solutions, prepare technical and commercial proposals, and support projects from initial inquiry through design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and size
- shell-and-tube, plate, air-cooled and other heat exchanger systems
- based on process requirements.
- Design and select appropriate
- wet scrubbers, packed-bed scrubbers, venturi scrubbers and other gas-cleaning systems
- .
- Perform engineering calculations including
- heat and mass balances, heat-transfer calculations, pressure-drop calculations, fluid-flow calculations and equipment sizing
- .
- Select appropriate construction materials based on temperature, pressure, corrosion, chemical compatibility and operating conditions.
- Prepare
- technical specifications, datasheets, process flow diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs and equipment layouts
- where required.
- Review customer process data and recommend suitable heat exchanger or scrubber solutions.
- Prepare
- technical and commercial quotations
- , equipment costing, proposals and tender documents.
- Conduct customer meetings, presentations, technical discussions and site visits.
- Identify new customers and business opportunities in industries requiring heat-transfer and pollution-control equipment.
- Follow up on quotations and inquiries and negotiate technical and commercial requirements with customers.
- Work closely with fabrication, procurement and project teams to ensure equipment is manufactured according to approved specifications.
- Provide technical support during
- installation, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting

- Ensure designs comply with relevant engineering standards, safety requirements and customer specifications.
