This Privacy Policy explains how Kazi Connect handles data for job search, accounts, CV uploads, email alerts, AI career tools, employer submissions, security, analytics and advertising on the Kenya site.

2. Information we may collect

• Account data, such as name, email address, authentication method, verification status, preferences and consent records. Passwords are stored in protected form, not plain text.
• Career data, such as DOCX CV files, extracted CV text, skill tags, selected jobs, instructions you write and outputs generated by AI tools.
• Job alert data, including search criteria, location, salary range, tags, frequency, send history and subscription status.
• Employer or contact data when someone submits a job, company profile, publication request or correction request.
• Technical data, such as IP address, browser, device, pages viewed, errors, security logs, cookies, aggregate metrics and abuse-prevention signals.

3. How we use information

We use data to operate job search, create accounts, send verification and password-reset emails, manage alerts, store CVs, generate application materials, prevent fraud, improve source quality, measure performance and respond to support or removal requests.

We may use aggregated or anonymized data to understand trends, improve SEO, fix errors, prioritize job sources and develop product features.

4. AI processing and service providers

When you use AI tools, we may send only the necessary details to our infrastructure and LLM providers, such as job details, extracted text from the selected CV, tags, your instructions and country/language context.

We use external providers for hosting, databases, transactional email, analytics, security, advertising and AI processing. These providers should process data only to provide contracted services or meet legal obligations.

5. Emails, alerts and communications

We send account verification emails, password-reset emails, job alerts and administrative messages related to your account. You can manage alerts in the Account Centre or contact support for help.

6. Cookies, analytics and ads

We may use cookies, local storage, logs and analytics tools to measure traffic, diagnose errors, protect the platform and improve the user experience.

When advertising is enabled, advertising partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to measure ads and comply with their own policies. You can control cookies through your browser and device settings.

7. Retention, deletion and security

We keep data while it is needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, maintain audit records or improve security. CVs and account data can be deleted through available tools or by support request, subject to necessary retention.

We apply reasonable technical and organizational security measures, but no online system is risk-free. Use strong passwords and avoid uploading unnecessary or highly sensitive documents.

8. Your rights and international processing

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or clarification about your data through the support contact. Because our providers may operate in different countries, data may be processed outside the country where you live, with appropriate safeguards where applicable.

9. Children, updates and contact

The service is intended for users who may lawfully search for work or hire under applicable law. Do not upload data about children without appropriate authority.
