Responsibilities
- Provide
- clinically appropriate assessment, interpretation, and reporting of
- diagnostic imaging studies in accordance with established clinical
- guidelines and best practices.
- Interpret and report a wide range of imaging modalities, including:
- Digital X-rays
- Computed Tomography (CT)
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
- Ultrasound
- Mammography
- Fluoroscopy
- Other specialized imaging examinations as assigned.
- Ensure
- timely reporting of radiographs, mammograms, CT scans, MRI studies, and
- ultrasound examinations to facilitate efficient patient management and
- workflow.
- Perform fluoroscopy and specialized ultrasound examinations where applicable.
- Interpret and report emergency imaging examinations within the required turnaround time.
- Provide consultation services to referring clinicians during working hours and scheduled on-call periods.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams in patient diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) discussions and clinical case reviews.
- Attend and actively participate in departmental meetings, clinical meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in Continuous Medical
Education
- (CME) activities and other capacity-building programs.
- Work
- collaboratively with the Head of Department and other team members to
- develop work schedules and manage reporting workloads effectively.
- Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and high-quality radiology reports within agreed service-level turnaround times.
- Ensure compliance with ethical, legal, and professional standards governing radiology practice.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to data protection policies.
- Utilize PACS, RIS, EMR, and other hospital information systems effectively.
- Conduct scientific research and contribute to publications where applicable.
- Participate in peer review and quality assurance programs to enhance diagnostic accuracy and service delivery.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management within the scope of the role.
