The underwriting and claims associate will be responsible for providing administrative and operational support in the processing of insurance quotations, underwriting documentation, policy administration and claims while ensuring timely service to clients and accurate maintenance of insurance records.

- Assist in submitting risks to insurers for approval.
- Ensure approved covers are properly documented.

- Policy Administration
- Assist with processing New business, renewals, additions, deletions, endorsements, and cancellations.
- Prepare and distribute policy documents, medical cards, stickers and certificates.
- Follow up on outstanding policy documentation.

- Support renewal follow-ups.
- Claims Administration
- Receive and record claims notifications.
- Assist clients with completion of claims forms.
- Check claims documentation for completeness.

- Obtain and communicate claims status updates to clients.
- Escalate delayed, disputed or complex claims to the Underwriting & Claims Officer/Manager.

- Respond to routine client enquiries.
- Provide clients with policy and claims updates.
- Assist clients with onboarding and documentation.
- Coordinate delivery of policy documents, medical cards and stickers.
- Escalate complex client issues to the appropriate officer.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients and insurers.
- Insurance Premium Financing
- Assist with preparation and processing of IPF applications.
- Complete required documentation.
- Submit documents to relevant financial institutions.
- Follow up on applications and approvals.
- Maintain an IPF tracking register.
- Records & Reporting
- Maintain accurate electronic and physical client files.
- Update insurance databases and registers.
- Ensure documentation is properly filed and easily retrievable.
- Assist in preparation of departmental reports.
- Provide accurate information to Finance for reconciliation and reporting.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information.
- Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Insurance, Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
- Professional insurance qualification or progress towards, AIIK/College of Insurance qualification will be an added advantage.

Experience
in both insurance underwriting, claims, and insurance broking.
