We are looking for a proactive, organized and eager-to-learn Stores & Procurement Intern to support our stores and procurement functions while gaining valuable hands-on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with receiving, checking and recording incoming goods.
- Support proper storage, organization and identification of stock.
- Assist in issuing and recording materials and equipment.
- Maintain accurate stores and inventory records.
- Support stock counts and inventory reconciliations.
- Assist with preparation and filing of procurement documentation.
- Support supplier communication and follow-up on orders and deliveries.
- Assist with obtaining quotations and preparing procurement comparisons.
- Support purchase order and delivery documentation processes.
- Assist in monitoring stock levels and identifying replenishment requirements.
- Perform other stores and procurement duties as assigned.
Requirements
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma/Degree in Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Purchasing & Supplies, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field.
Basic understanding of procurement, inventory and stores management principles.
Good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
Good attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team and follow established procedures.
Demonstrated willingness to learn and take initiative.
