- This is an entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at will work under the guidance and supervision of a senior officer. Duties and

- collecting and collating data on shipping and maritime affairs;
- drafting briefs and reports on shipping and maritime matters;
- preparing preliminary working documents for sensitization of stakeholders on safety, security, and prevention of marine environment by ships and other watercraft.
