- for Appointment:
- To be eligible for appointment and/or promotion to the position of Senior Lecturer the candidate must have:
- A Doctorate degree (PhD) or its academic equivalent from an accredited/recognized institution;
- A cumulative or evidence of three (3) years of teaching/research
Responsibilities
- An individual appointed as a Senior Lecturer shall:
- Teach and assess courses in one’s discipline at both undergraduate and post graduate levels;
- Supervise undergraduate students’ projects and other experimental learning programmes;
- Supervise dissertations/theses at postgraduate level;
- Assist in developing/review of undergraduate and postgraduate courses;
- Initiate, promote and participate in research projects;
- Participate in academic leadership programmes;
- Provide professional and community services, and initiate strategic training and research partnerships and linkages, and such other duties and
- as maybe assigned from time to time.
