Responsibilities
- Scrap Handling & Sorting
- Receive and sort scrap materials
- Separate materials according to
Requirements
- Identify and report unsuitable or contaminated materials
- Assist in loading and movement of scrap
- Ensure scrap is stored in correct locations
- Production Support
- Prepare scrap materials for production use
- Support timely movement of scrap to melt shop
- Coordinate with production personnel on material
- Maintain accurate records where required
- Safety & Environmental Compliance
- Follow health, safety, and environmental procedures
- Wear appropriate PPE
- Maintain safe distances from
- machinery and equipment
- Report hazards, accidents, spills, and unsafe conditions
- Follow waste handling and environmental
- Housekeeping
- Keep scrap yard clean and organized
- Remove unnecessary materials and obstructions
- Assist with cleaning and maintenance of work area
- Qualifications

- Previous
Experience
- in steel plant, scrap yard, manufacturing, construction, or industrial environment an advantage
- Ability to perform physically demanding duties
