Key Primary Responsibilities
Maintain recovery records including recovery register, discharge vouchers register and incoming cheques register.
Monitor recovery register, update regularly and ensure matters are recoverable and not time‑barred.
Respond to demand letters to third parties and insurance firms.
Draft legal opinions on settlement proposals, swapping and knock‑for‑knock settlements.
Follow up with witnesses to attend court when required.
Send reminders and follow‑ups.
Reply to third‑party demands.
Conduct negotiations and organize meetings with parties.
Appoint investigators and advocates.
Follow up on court documents and attend court where necessary.
Process payments to insureds and advocates.
Review and close files where cases have been concluded.
Academic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Law or equivalent.
Job Skills & Requirements
Diploma in Legal Practice an added advantage.
Professional Qualifications
Diploma in Legal Practice an added advantage.
Experience
At least 3 years’ relevant experience in insurance industry, with 2 years in recoveries.
