Responsibilities
- Monitor all stages of the bakery production process to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
- Conduct routine inspections of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products.
- Verify that products meet defined specifications for appearance, texture, taste, weight, packaging, and shelf life.
- Identify non-conforming products and coordinate corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and company quality standards.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of HACCP and ISO 22000 Food Safety Management Systems.
- Monitor sanitation and hygiene practices throughout the production facility.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory food safety requirements.
- Conduct physical, chemical, and microbiological tests as required.
- Monitor critical control points (CCPs) and production parameters.
- Verify calibration of laboratory and quality testing equipment.
- Maintain accurate testing records and analyze quality trends.
- Inspect incoming raw materials, ingredients, and packaging materials for quality compliance.
- Verify supplier quality documentation and certificates where applicable.
- Report and follow up on non-conforming materials with procurement and suppliers.
- Support supplier quality evaluations and audits.
- Maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, laboratory results, and corrective action logs.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality performance reports.
- Document deviations, customer complaints, investigations, and corrective actions.
- Ensure quality documentation is complete and audit-ready.
- Investigate quality issues and identify root causes.
- Recommend corrective and preventive actions to improve product quality and process efficiency.
- Monitor product consistency and reduce waste, rework, and customer complaints.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across production operations.
- Train production staff on quality standards, food safety, hygiene, and quality procedures.
- Promote a culture of food safety and continuous quality improvement.
- Provide technical guidance on quality-related matters during production.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits.
- Support regulatory inspections and customer audits.
