Set and enforce the technical standards, coding practices and architectural principles the team builds against, and provide hands-on technical leadership by reviewing designs and code, unblocking complex technical problems, and mentoring developers to raise the overall engineering capability of the team. Own the technical quality and delivery reliability of the team’s output, balancing speed of delivery with long-term maintainability, and act as the technical escalation point for integration, performance and production issues affecting the digital channel and business systems in scope.
