Responsibilities
Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of client networks (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points) Support day-to-day helpdesk and remote/on-site troubleshooting for client IT issues Help monitor network performance and respond to alerts/incidents Assist with configuration and basic administration of firewalls (e.g., FortiGate, MikroTik) Support server and virtualization environments (Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware/Hyper-V) under supervision Assist with backup, email infrastructure, and cybersecurity-related tasks Document network configurations, changes, and client site information Travel to client sites within Mombasa and occasionally other regions as required Escalate complex issues to senior engineers and follow through until resolution
