- For appointment to this grade, an applicant MUST have: -
- Diploma in any of the following; Mass media, Journalism, Mass Communication, media techniques, media studies, Communication or any other approved equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary
Education
- (KCSE) mean grade C with a minimum of C+ in English or Kiswahili and C in any other relevant subject or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution
- Demonstrated professional competence
- Good oral and written communication skills
- A member of the media Council of Kenya
