The successful candidate will be responsible for building reliable supplier relationships, negotiating competitive prices, ensuring quality and compliance with export requirements, and supporting the overall supply chain from sourcing through to export. At the initial stage, the role will also support the onboarding of an exporting company that will facilitate avocado exports.
Key
Responsibilities
- Manage sourcing of quality Hass avocados from farmers, farmer groups, aggregators, and other suppliers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with growers and suppliers to ensure consistent supply and competitive pricing.
- Conduct and coordinate quality assessments to ensure avocados meet required maturity, sizing, and export standards.
- Negotiate competitive pricing, payment terms, and commercial arrangements with suppliers.
- Monitor avocado availability, seasonal patterns, market prices, and supply trends to inform procurement decisions.
- Manage supplier agreements and ensure compliance with pricing, quality, volume, and delivery requirements.
- Support export operations by coordinating with exporters and stakeholders to ensure smooth shipment execution.
- Ensure all export documentation, certifications, and permits are completed accurately before each shipment.

Experience
- in Hass avocado sourcing, procurement, quality control, or agricultural supply‑chain management.
