Insight Axis Africa (IAA), a research and analytics partner providing market insights, monitoring and evaluation, and data analytics services, is seeking a qualified Finance & Accounts Expert to manage day-to-day accounting operations, payroll, statutory compliance, and project budget management.

Key

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate books of accounts and financial records.
  • Prepare bank and other financial reconciliations.
  • Prepare regular management and financial reports.
  • Process payroll and ensure accurate statutory deductions.
  • Manage PAYE, NHIF, NSSF, and other applicable statutory obligations.
  • Prepare, monitor, and review project budgets.
  • Track field expenditure and ensure spending remains within approved budgets.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required financial documentation.
  • Assist with tax preparation and filing.
  • Support procurement processes and ensure proper documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and organized accounting records.
  • Monitor project financial performance and highlight significant budget variances.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable financial policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
  • Perform other finance and accounting duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • CPA (K) or ACCA finalist/qualified.
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.

Experience

in research or consultancy environments is an added advantage.

Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Strong understanding of accounting, payroll, taxation, budgeting, and financial reporting.
