Responsibilities
- Install fiber drops, ONUs/Wireless AP, and associated CPE at customer premises in line with company standards.
- Perform fiber splicing, termination, and optical signal testing (power meter, OTDR readings) to confirm link quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer connectivity faults, including ONU/ wireless AP provisioning issues and signal degradation.
- Carry out preventive maintenance on distribution boxes/FATs, splitters, and aerial fiber routes.
- Escalate OLT-side or core network faults to the Network Operations team with accurate diagnostic notes.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, materials used, and job completion reports.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and accountability of company tools and equipment issued for fieldwork.
- Observe safety procedures when working at height, near roads, or with optical/electrical equipment.
- Provide clear, professional communication to customers during site visits.
- Support new site surveys and network expansion rollouts as required.
