Responsibilities
- Drive company trucks and vans safely and responsibly.
- Transport event equipment, furniture, décor, supplies, staff and materials to various locations.
- Ensure timely collection and delivery of equipment according to event schedules.
- Plan routes and account for traffic, loading, unloading and possible delays.
- Comply with traffic laws, road safety regulations and company driving procedures.
- Support loading, transportation, offloading and movement of event equipment.
- Assist with event setup and breakdown where required.
- Confirm deliveries and collections and promptly report shortages, damages or delays.
- Move equipment between company stores, offices, suppliers and event venues.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Report mechanical faults, tyre problems, damage and other vehicle concerns.
- Ensure vehicles are serviced and maintained according to schedule.
- Keep assigned vehicles clean, organized and presentable.
- Maintain accurate mileage, fuel, service and trip records.
- Ensure vehicle insurance, inspection and other required documents are valid.
- Properly arrange, secure and protect loads during transportation.
- Check equipment against delivery and collection lists.
- Assist with safe loading and unloading where necessary.
- Maintain professional conduct when interacting with clients, suppliers and members of the public.
- Support event teams in maintaining efficient operations at event sites.
- Protect company equipment and report any loss or damage immediately.
