Responsibilities
- Preparing and implementing of the divisional budget;
- Managing of operations of the facilities in an effective and efficient manner;
- coordinating, planning and managing of events;
- Participating in letting of vacant properties and rent reviews;
- Repairing and maintaining facilities,
- Initiating the development and review of divisional guidelines
- Coordinating the implementation of the divisional guidelines;
- Developing long term and short-term Plans for various facilities programs
- Initiating interventions for refurbishment and modernization of facilities
- Ensuring optimal utilization of the facilities
- Qualifications
- For appointment to this grade, an Officer must have:-
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years cumulative relevant work experience, three (3) at management level or in a comparable position;
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the following: Physical Education; Sports Science; Exercise, Leisure and Recreation Management or any other equivalent qualifications from a recognized;
- Master’s degree in any of the following: Physical Education; Sports Science; Exercise, Leisure and Recreation Management or any other equivalent qualifications from a recognized;
- Certificate in Leadership Course lasting not less than (4) four weeks from a recognized institution
- Membership with a professional body in good standing, where applicable;
- Proficiency in computer applications;
- Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
