We are looking for a Construction Storekeeper to manage construction materials, tools, equipment and stock at a construction site.
The successful candidate will be responsible for proper receiving, storage, issuing, recording and accountability of construction materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect and record all construction materials delivered to site.
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials.
- Issue materials and tools based on authorized requisitions.
- Monitor stock levels and identify materials requiring replenishment.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical stock with records.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of construction materials.
- Maintain an organized, clean and secure site store.
- Monitor material usage and minimize loss, damage and wastage.
- Prepare stock and inventory reports.
- Work closely with the Site Engineer, Quantity Surveyor, Procurement and Project Management teams.
- Qualifications & Experience
- Certificate or Diploma in Construction, Building & Construction, Quantity Surveying or related field (MUST).
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in construction stores or as a Construction Storekeeper.
- Experience handling construction materials, tools and equipment.
- Good understanding of stock control and inventory management.
- Strong record‑keeping and documentation skills.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a busy construction‑site environment.
- Honesty, reliability and attention to detail are essential.
