- KEY REQUIREMENTS.
- § Preferably male
- § Minimum KCSE certificate.
- § Certificate in food production, butchery or related field – added advantage
- § Minimum 3 years’
Responsibilities
- § Cut, trim, debone and portion meat according to standard specifications
- § Prepare beef/poultry and other meat products for display or kitchen use.
- § Grilling Beef, Goat, Chicken, Liver, ribs etc.
- § Minimise waste through efficient cutting techniques.
- § Grind and Mince beef as per requirement
- § Ensure proper weighing of products
- § Inspect meat for quality and freshness
- § Ensure proper storage temperatures are maintained
- § Be able to rotate stock using FIFO method
- § Maintain strict hygiene and sanitation at the work area
- § Clean and sanitise tools, equipment and work surfaces regularly
- § Wear protective gear and follow work place safety protocols
- § Operate and maintain butchery tools e.g. knives, saws, grinders and weighing scale.
