Responsibilities
- a) Service, identify and repair faults on electronically controlled vehicle systems such as electronic fuel injection, electronic ignition, Immobilizer and air conditioning;
- b) Install electrical equipment such as gauges, lighting, alternators and starter motors in vehicles; install electrically operated accessories
- c) Diagnose & trouble shoot electrical fault of the plant & equipment; test, recondition and replace faulty alternators, starter motors and related items such as voltage regulators and batteries;
- d) Repair or replace faulty ignition, electrical wiring, fuses, lamps and switches;
- e) Prioritize and plan for vehicles repairs and maintenance;
- f) Conduct safety checks and inspections as required and maintain records.; follow and implement Safety Health Environment and Quality (SHEQ) policy;
- g) Respond to emergencies, breakdowns as required.
- h) Able to read and understand electrical drawing from service manuals;
- i) Keep all relevant tools and equipment in good order available at all time to perform the task;
- j) Prepares materials / parts requisition slip & work done report;
- k) Reports to Workshop Supervisor/ Plant Manager immediately when any abnormalities noticed on the equipment;
- l) Any other work related duty as assigned from time to time.
