The appointment against this position is limited to the United Nations Office at Nairobi. This is a fixed term limited position. Appointment against this post is for an initial period of one year and may be subject to extension subject to legislative body funding availability. THIS POSITION IS OPEN TO NATIONALS OF KENYA. 1. CLINICAL DUTIES: a. Participates in running the UNHCR clinic in Kakuma established for the purpose of providing assessment, stabilization and treatment of medical, surgical or obstetric emergency cases in the field environment. b. Supports the supervision and distribution of work for the nurses and other staff assigned to the clinic. h. Contributes to establishing good relations with reliable hospitals, private medical facilities and blood banks at the duty station. 3. SUPERVISORY ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES: a. Contribute in ensuring that appropriate training programs are implemented to maintain and develop the medical capabilities e.g. health awareness, infection prevention, mass casualty response. b.
