Role Objective

Our client, a reputable law firm, is seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant to manage financial operations, maintain accurate accounting records, support financial reporting, oversee cash and banking activities, and ensure compliance with statutory and internal financial requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Handle authorized petty cash disbursements and ensure timely replenishment of petty cash funds.
  • Process financial documents, including supplier invoices, staff claims, and investment-related transactions.
  • Coordinate the approval and processing of payments for various accounting transactions.
  • Review and verify financial documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, proper authorization, and compliance with internal controls.
  • Prepare statutory deductions and facilitate their timely submission to the relevant government authorities.
  • Assist with the review, classification, coding, recording, and proper filing of financial documents.
  • Perform banking activities, including cash withdrawals, collection of cheque books and bank statements, and other authorized banking transactions.
  • Assist in preparing, implementing, and monitoring budgets, cash-flow forecasts, and financial performance reports.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable statutory regulations, organizational policies, procedures, strategies, and financial standards.
  • Maintain cash books and prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements, following up on any discrepancies.
  • Prepare periodic financial reports and provide other accounting and finance support as directed by the immediate supervisor.
