Key
Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management
- : Maintain the chart of accounts and perform month-end closing procedures, including accruals and prepayments.
- Tax Processing & Filing
- : Prepare monthly returns for VAT (via eTIMS), PAYE, NHIF, NSSF, and Housing Levy for review by the Finance Manager.
- Inventory & Costing
- : Reconcile physical stock to the ERP system; calculate landed costs for imported goods (including IDF and Railway Development Levy).
- Accounts Receivable & Payable
- : Oversee the invoicing cycle, follow up on overdue customer accounts, and verify supplier invoices against Delivery Notes (DN) and LPOs.
- Bank Reconciliations
- : Perform daily or weekly reconciliations of multiple bank accounts, including M-Pesa Paybill settlements and multi-currency accounts (USD/KES).
- Fixed Asset Register:
- Maintain an up-to-date register, ensuring correct depreciation rates according to KRA Wear and Tear schedules
