About Instiglio
Instiglio works with governments and their partners to improve outcomes for people. Since 2012, we have worked in more than 30 low- and middle-income countries with over 200 organizations, helping ensure better outcomes for around 98 million people and influencing more than $1 billion in public spending. Our team of 80+ people from over 15 nationalities works across offices in Colombia, Kenya, Morocco, Mauritius and Uganda.
Purpose of the Role
The Financial Analyst will support Instiglio’s financial reporting and help maintain the organization’s financial tools and systems. The role includes developing analytical tools and conducting analyses to support decision-making across teams, as well as supporting document review and compliance processes. Beyond reporting, the Analyst will support global financial planning, procurement processes, and the monitoring of treasury operations to ensure resources are deployed effectively. The role offers a challenging opportunity to deliver strong qualitative and quantitative analysis that helps the organization understand and anticipate its financial performance and supports cost efficiency and value creation.
Key Responsibilities
- Budget, Controlling, and Financial Systems Administration
- Execute the implementation and administration of the reporting systems.
- Support the company’s monthly financial closing process, procurement process, budget, invoicing, and project expenses.
- Improve the financial reporting process and decision-making based on in-depth analysis of multiple information systems.
- Create analytics to support the cost-cutting process and consolidation.
- Analyze and recommend several purchasing options based on the interpretation of data and a deep understanding of the company’s operations.
- Backlog Building and Project Pricing
- Study the company’s cost structure through financial analysis, providing input to improve the expense performance review, profitability, working capital planning and investments.
- Monitor all the treasury procedures in order to ensure that projects are executed effectively.
- Interact with the project team and research the RBF market to ensure that our pipeline calculations are robust.
- Performance Metrics
- Success in this role will be measured by your ability to drive financial visibility, operational efficiency, and rigorous decision-making across global teams. - Delivery of accurate, error-free monthly financial closes according to set deadlines.
- Reliability and speed of financial reporting dashboards and ERP data consolidation.
- Cost Efficiency & Resource Optimization
- Measurable contribution to cost-cutting initiatives, budget adherence, and variance analysis.
- Quality and economic rationale of procurement recommendations and vendor analysis.
- Project Pricing & Backlog Robustness
- Precision of project cost structures, working capital planning, and RBF (Results-Based Financing) pipeline calculations.
- Accuracy of pricing models that protect or improve project margins and overall organizational profitability.
- Cross-Functional & Strategic Enablement
- Effective collaboration with project teams, translating complex financial data into actionable insights for leadership.
- Proactive development of financial tools or automation that reduce manual processes.
