Key Responsibilities 1. Developing work plans for the zones under your supervision. 2. Ensuring that the zonal officers under you have SMART performance goals and that they are closely monitored to ensure they meet and surpass the goals 3. Ensure preparation of water distribution (water rationing programs) every month and that the programs are communicated effectively to customers. 4. Ensure that rationing programs are followed strictly to build customer confidence in the reliability of our service. 5. Proactively identify areas or walk-routes with difficulties in water distribution and provide swift solutions. If the solution is beyond your capacity, you will be required to provide prompt escalation to the Assistant Technical Manager. 6. Ensure rapid and continuous growth of the zones under you in terms of water coverage by increasing the number of new connections, activating inactive connections, and extending services to unserved areas. 7. Ensuring growth in revenue output of the zones under you by sealing every loophole of loss of revenue (increase billing) and overseeing more than 110% collection efficiency in each zone. 8. Ensuring 100% meter reading efficiency,100% billing efficiency, and 110% collection efficiency in the zones under you. 9. Carry out regular patrols of the zones to root out illegal and irregular connections according to the established protocol. 10. Ensure timely attendance to bursts and leakages, timely servicing and replacement of meters as the case might be, and reduction of flat rate connections to reduce NRW. 11. Work very closely with the Monitoring and Evaluation Team to identify technical, commercial, or customer issues in the zones under your management with a view to creating highly efficient zones. 12. Compile monthly reports for the Managing Director through the ATM and TM on the status of the zones under your management. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements: • Diploma in Water Engineering, Finance, Economics, Project Management from a recognized institution. • Registered with a professional body where applicable. • At least five (5) years’ experience in the water sector, two (2) of which were in a supervisory role. • Proficiency in Computer skills. Terms of Employment: The positions will be offered on a one-year renewable contract based on satisfactory performance.
