We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and highly organized Assistant Human Resource Manager to support the development and implementation of modern HR strategies while ensuring compliance with Kenyan labour laws and best HR practices. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management to attract, develop, motivate, and retain top talent while driving operational excellence across multiple business units. Key Responsibilities Support the Human Resource Manager in implementing HR strategies across the Group. Coordinate recruitment, interviewing, selection, onboarding, confirmation, and induction of employees. Prepare employment contracts, HR policies, and employee correspondence. Manage employee records and confidential personnel files. Administer payroll inputs, statutory deductions, benefits, and employee records. Manage attendance, leave, timekeeping, shift schedules, and HRMS/ERP systems. Coordinate employee performance management, appraisals, KPIs, and performance improvement plans. Identify training needs and coordinate learning and development programmes. Ensure compliance with the Employment Act, OSHA, NSSF, SHA, PAYE, Housing Levy, NITA, and other statutory requirements. Handle disciplinary processes, grievances, investigations, and employee relations professionally. Prepare monthly HR reports and dashboards for management. Coordinate staff welfare, engagement, succession planning, and retention initiatives. Support workforce planning for construction projects, property management operations, security services, and corporate offices. Participate in HR budgeting, manpower planning, and organizational development. Promote ethical conduct, confidentiality, diversity, inclusion, and a high-performance culture. Minimum Educational Qualifications Applicants must possess: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration (HR Option), Commerce (HR), Industrial Psychology, or a related field. Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management is an added advantage. Professional Qualifications Applicants should possess one or more of the following: Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP-K) Certified Human Resource Management Professional (CHRMP) Diploma in Labour Laws and Industrial Relations Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health (Added Advantage) Payroll Administration Certification ERP/HRMS Training Performance Management Certification Recruitment and Talent Acquisition Certification Employee Relations and Conflict Resolution Training Professional Membership Membership in good standing with any of the following will be an added advantage: Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM Kenya) Human Resource Management Professional Associations Relevant professional bodies Experience Applicants should demonstrate: At least 5 years of progressive HR experience. Minimum 2 years in a supervisory HR position. Experience supporting multiple companies or business units is highly desirable. Experience in construction, real estate, facilities management, property management, security services, hospitality, or related industries will be an added advantage. Practical experience implementing ERP/HRMS systems such as ERPNext, SAP, Oracle, Odoo, or Microsoft Dynamics.
