Convene safety committees, report KPIs monthly to leadership. Exercise authority to stop unsafe work. Apply updates from Group and regulators; flag gaps for improvement. Operational Health & Safety Enforce water and marine safety across lake operations. Apply machine, chemical and cold‑room safety controls. Enforce road and fleet safety across cold‑chain distribution. Ensure construction and engineering safety on build sites. Environment & Lake Stewardship Deliver environmental compliance (NEMA licensing, EIA/EA obligations, effluent and waste management, water monitoring). Protect Victory Farms’ social licence to operate on Lake Victoria. Compliance, Training & Culture Ensure compliance with OSHA 2007, WIBA, EMCA and DOSHS/NEMA requirements. Manage statutory audits, inspections and returns. Deliver HSE induction and ongoing training for staff and contractors. Lead incident investigations, root‑cause analysis and emergency drills. Qualifications & Requirements: Must Have 8+ years’ progressive HSE experience: in Kenya/East Africa. Background in high‑hazard industries (marine, manufacturing, construction, oil & gas, logistics). Registered OSH Advisor/Practitioner with DOSHS; NEBOSH or professional HSE qualification. Deep knowledge of Kenyan HSE law (OSHA 2007, WIBA, EMCA). Track record of executing HSE programmes and reducing incidents. Strongly Preferred Water/marine or cold‑chain safety experience. Experience: commissioning HSE for new facilities. Attributes Hands‑on and field‑oriented. Disciplined, reliable executor. Independent and courageous; able to stop unsafe work. Data‑led, integrity‑driven coach who builds safety culture.
