In this role, you will design and oversee programs that elevate the skills and performance of our teams. Your primary focus will be on equipping our optometrists and sales teams with the necessary skills to deliver exceptional service. Additionally, you will guide managerial and skills training for various back-office departments. You will lead the L&D team to maintain excellent training standards, ensuring seamless onboarding for new hires and fostering a culture of continuous professional growth for our existing staff. Key Responsibilities Training & Content Creation · Oversee training initiatives across all our operating countries to maintain consistent, high-quality standards. · Guarantee that new optometrists and sales staff receive comprehensive training from onboarding through to their official confirmation. · Design and deliver engaging, ongoing educational programs to keep existing staff updated and proficient. · Provide necessary skills and managerial training support to back-office staff. · Develop versatile training materials, including e-learning modules, manuals, and presentations, tailored to diverse learning styles. Data Analytics & Reporting · Analyze performance data to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and identify areas for improvement. · Monitor team members who need extra support, measure their progress after retraining, and create tailored solutions for recurring challenges. · Leverage performance insights to build strategic training calendars, maximizing the efficiency of the entire team. · Compile and present clear training reports to management to track the success of L&D initiatives. Team Leadership & Recruitment · Direct and mentor the L&D team, which includes Trainers and Field Trainers. · Establish clear team goals aligned with business objectives. · Conduct regular performance reviews and ensure optimal staffing and motivation levels. · Participate in the first round of interviews for optometrists and subsequent rounds for sales roles to help select candidates who will thrive in our work environment. Requirements · Education: Bachelor’s Degree. · Experience: At least 6 years of training experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a progressive leadership role managing a training department. · Industry Knowledge: Previous experience as a trainer or manager, ideally in a retail setting. · Soft Skills: Clear written and verbal communication, patience and empathy when guiding trainees, strong critical thinking, and a collaborative approach.
