The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, installing, modifying, and repairing metal structures used in solar photovoltaic (PV) projects. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to quality and workplace Min Qualification: Certificate Experience Level: Entry level Experience Length: 2 years Language Requirement: English Working Hours: Full Time - 8 to 5 Applicant Location: Nairobi, Kenya Job descriptions & requirements Key Responsibilities Fabricate solar mounting structures, frames, brackets, supports, and other steel components according to approved drawings. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and fabrication specifications. Perform welding, cutting, grinding, drilling, and metal finishing works. Repair and modify existing metal structures where required. Assist in the installation and alignment of solar mounting structures at project sites. Inspect fabricated components and welds to ensure compliance with quality standards. Maintain welding tools and equipment in good working condition. Adhere to all safety procedures, including hot work permit requirements and proper use of PPE. Qualifications & Experience Certificate, Diploma, or Trade Test in Welding, Fabrication, Metal Works, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years' experience in welding and metal fabrication. Experience in fabrication and installation of steel structures; experience in the solar or construction industry is an added advantage. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication plans. Proficiency in Arc Welding and other common welding techniques. Knowledge of welding safety standards and hot work procedures. Physically fit and willing to work at various project sites.
