Role Purpose: Developing and implementing appropriate policies and procedures to maintain the physical security of Telkom’s property (Offices, Network & IT Infrastructure, Warehouses & Inventory and Commercial Outlets), Staff, TKL visitors and customers. To identify, assess and manage all physical security risks of the business and implement mitigation plans, and where such plans require contractors, to manage the selection and performance management of all security contractors and suppliers engaged by the business. To develop, maintain and enhance TKLs liaisons with the various governmental agencies charged with the maintenance of law and order to foster a beneficial working relationship between TKL’s security team and the said agencies. Key Responsibilities: · Oversee the development and implementation Security policy, procedures and work instructions. · Direct the efforts of the Security and Investigations team. · Manage the company Security/fraud management budget in assisting senior management in prioritizing of cost effective security solutions that bear financial implications. · Manage the company’s relationship with other law enforcement agencies while holding brief for the company in criminal or civil litigation where applicable. · Establish and maintain a basic level of Security awareness amongst all staff members and an additional level for selected target groups, also conduct security awareness/training. · Liaise with the Investigations departments to facilitate the implementation of orders, warrants, summons etc · Continuously utilize tools and analyze data to obtain results and report on any fraud patterns and trends. · Lead the preparation of quarterly reports for CEO and management on fraudulent activities and resolution of investigation cases. Reporting: · This role reports the Director, Risk Management, and requires close working relationships with the Manager, Fraud Detection & Prevention, Enterprise Risk Manager and Facilities Manager. Academic background & Professional Knowledge: Here Are The Skills We Are Looking For: · Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. (Criminology/Investigations/Forensics/Risk Mgt etc) · 6-8 years in Corporate Security Management · Military/Police background or experience in a government security or investigative agency. · Security Management certification will be an added advantage · Security risks assessments and mitigation · Ability to receive and manage confidential/sensitive information with the highest level of integrity · Deep understanding of the unique security risks faced by Telco’s · Knowledge of security equipment and systems employed in Telco’s organization’s such as CCTV, access control, security alarm systems and fire alarms systems. · Understand Police Force and military operations · Security Intelligence Networks · Extensive knowledge of all legislative requirements related to the provision of security services.
