Judicial Service Commission (JSC) is hiring a Member, Tax Appeal Tribunal (Advocate) to provide legal guidance, review tax dispute cases, interpret tax laws, and support fair resolution of appeals. Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Law is required, admission as an Advocate is required, and relevant legal experience is required. Qualifications: Under Section 4A (b) of the Tax Appeals Tribunal (Amendment) Act of 2022 the applicant must have the following minimum requirements. Hold a law degree from a recognized university; Be an advocate of the High Court of Kenya, Have at least ten (10) years of experience in matters relating to the discipline referred to under item (i) above. Is not a public officer or a tax agent. Has not at any time within the preceding five (5) years been an employee of the Kenya Revenue Authority; Has met his Tax obligations Has not been convicted of an offense under any law; and Has not been adjudged bankrupt by a court of competent jurisdiction. Qualification and experience in alternative dispute resolution will be an added advantage.
