Ensure all vehicles are available, roadworthy, and assigned appropriately for operational needs. Monitor fleet usage and ensure efficient allocation of vehicles and motorcycles. Support scheduling of trips, routes, and transport activities. Maintenance and Repairs Coordinate routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs of all fleet vehicles and motorcycles. Liaise with approved garages and service providers to ensure quality workmanship. Inspect vehicles regularly to identify mechanical issues and recommend corrective action. Ensure timely servicing in line with manufacturer and company schedules. Vehicle Inspection and Compliance Conduct routine inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and operational standards. Ensure compliance with road safety regulations and company transport policies. Verify validity of insurance, inspection certificates, and licensing documents. Maintain accurate records of vehicle condition and maintenance history. Fuel and Cost Control Monitor fuel usage and track consumption patterns for all fleet units. Identify and report fuel wastage or irregularities. Support implementation of cost-control measures within fleet operations. Reconcile fuel records with usage reports. Driver and Rider Supervision Assist in supervising drivers and riders to ensure discipline and adherence to schedules. Monitor performance, behavior, and compliance with company policies. Report any misconduct or accidents to the Fleet Supervisor or management. Support onboarding and orientation of new drivers and riders. Documentation and Reporting Maintain accurate fleet records including logbooks, service records, and repair histories. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly fleet operation reports. Track mileage, fuel consumption, servicing schedules, and downtime. Document accidents, breakdowns, and incident reports. Coordination and Communication Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and operations teams on fleet requirements. Communicate with drivers, mechanics, and service providers to ensure smooth operations. Escalate major fleet issues to the Fleet Supervisor or management. KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Fleet Management, Transport & Logistics, or related field. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in fleet management, vehicle supervision, or transport operations. Strong knowledge of vehicle and motorcycle mechanics. Experience in fleet maintenance planning and coordination. Good understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair processes. Strong organizational and coordination skills. Ability to manage multiple vehicles and operational schedules. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and strong record-keeping ability.
