Looking for a procurement job in Kenya? NLAS is hiring a Supply Chain Management Assistant I skilled in inventory control, procurement documentation, and stores management. REFERENCE NO. NLAS/SCMA1/7/1/2026/24 Qualifications For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: At least 6 (six) years cumulative work experience, three (3) of which should have been at the grade of Supply Chain Management Assistant II or in a comparable position in the private or the Public Sector; Diploma in Supply Chain Management or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution; Proficiency in Computer Application Skills; and Shown Merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results. Duties and Responsibilities The Supply Chain Management Assistant is responsible for the following functions; Preparing requisitions for stock items; Participating in conducting periodic stock take; Conducting stock take and generating reports; Reconciling of stores, contracts and payment documents; Identifying unserviceable and obsolete assets; Maintaining inventory levels through stock control; Preparing local purchase and supply orders; Participating in receiving and inspection of goods; Ensuring security and safety of stores and equipment; and Processing payments as per the contract terms. Remuneration will be in accordance with NLAS Salary Scale: NLAS GRADE 7: Ksh. 68,500 x 5,000 – 73,500 x 5,000 – 78,500 x 5,000 – 83,500 x 5,000 – 88,500 x 5,000 – 93,500 x 5,000 – 98,500 x 5,000 – 103,500 p.m How to Apply NOTE: NLAS Grades 1, 2 & 3 are on a three-years contract basis, renewable once while the rest are on permanent and pensionable terms Interested persons who meet the minimum criteria are requested to submit applications enclosing copies of the following documents.
