The role is based in Utawala and experience at a managerial/senior HRBP level is required. The Role The HR Manager is the senior leader of the HR function across our hospital network. You will design and implement people strategies, ensure legal compliance, build high-performing teams, and partner with Executive Management to achieve our mission of exceptional patient care. Qualifications Academic Bachelor’s degree in HRM, Business Administration, Industrial/Organisational Psychology, Social Sciences or related field. Professional Certification CHRP-K (Senior Practitioner level) or above, awarded by IHRM Kenya. Valid membership in good standing. Experience Minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience. At least 3 years at a managerial/senior HRBP level. Proven experience in a hospital/healthcare or complex multi-site organisation. Strong track record in strategic HR, compliance, employee relations & workforce planning. Experience reporting to Board/Board Committees is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities HR STRATEGY & WORKFORCE PLANNING – Develop people strategies, workforce plans, budgets & organisational structures. POLICY, GOVERNANCE & COMPLIANCE – Own the HR Policy Manual, ensure legal compliance & represent the organisation in labour and legal matters. TALENT ACQUISITION & ONBOARDING – Lead recruitment, employer branding, onboarding & staff conversion strategies. PERFORMANCE & ORGANISATIONAL DEVELOPMENT – Lead performance management, succession planning & culture transformation. LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT – Design L&D plans, coordinate training, CPD compliance & competency development. COMPENSATION & PAYROLL GOVERNANCE – Oversee total reward, payroll, benefits, pensions & market benchmarking. EMPLOYEE RELATIONS & WELLBEING – Promote a positive workplace, manage employee relations, welfare & staff engagement. HR TEAM LEADERSHIP – Lead, coach & build a high-performing HR team across all branches. MULTI-SITE HR MANAGEMENT – Ensure consistent HR services and standards across the hospital network.
