Proficiency in financial planning, accounting operations, and statutory compliance is required. To provide strategic financial leadership by overseeing financial planning, accounting operations, reporting, compliance, and internal controls while delivering financial insights that support business growth, profitability, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Financial Planning and Reporting Prepare and oversee accurate financial statements, management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis. Provide timely financial reports and strategic insights to support management decision-making. Monitor financial performance against budgets and recommend corrective actions to achieve business objectives. Accounting and Financial Operations Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, and month-end/year-end closing processes. Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of all financial records and transactions. Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support efficient business operations. Financial Controls and Compliance Develop, implement, and maintain effective financial controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets. Ensure compliance with tax laws, statutory requirements, financial reporting standards, and regulatory obligations. Coordinate internal and external audits and implement recommendations to strengthen financial governance. Budgeting and Cost Management Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic financial forecasting. Monitor operating costs and identify opportunities to improve profitability and cost efficiency. Support product costing, pricing analysis, and investment evaluations to enhance financial performance. Leadership and Stakeholder Management Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to improve performance, accountability, and professional growth. Build and maintain effective relationships with banks, auditors, regulatory authorities, suppliers, and other financial stakeholders. Drive ERP/accounting system improvements and automation initiatives to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency. Qualifications & Experience Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional qualification such as CPA(K), ACCA, or an equivalent accounting certification. Minimum of 5 to eight 8 years’ progressive experience in finance and accounting, preferably within FMCG, manufacturing, or a similar industry. Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, cost control, audit coordination, and ERP/accounting systems. Strong financial planning, analysis, and strategic decision-making skills. Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.
