KSG is hiring an Assistant Director – Planning & Project Management skilled in strategic planning, project implementation, M&E, and performance management. Mandatory Requirements For appointment to this grade, an officer must have : – Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Project Management, Monitoring &; Evaluation or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution. Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Strategic Management, Monitoring &; Evaluation, Public Policy, Project Planning and Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution. Attained Twelve(12) years’ relevant work experience, three (3) of which should have been in a supervisory position or in comparable position; Membership in a relevant professional body, where applicable, Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognised institution Served for at least Three(3) years in the position of Principal Officer, or equivalent Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results. Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010. Duties & Responsibilities An officer at this level will work with the guidance of an Deputy Director. The duties and responsibilities for this position shall entail: – Providing advice in the development of organizational policy position papers; Developing of the Authority’s annual performance contract Undertaking the development of institutional annual work plans Developing quarterly, biannual and annual reports for the department; Developing organizational periodic strategic plans Domesticating of performance contract guidelines to guide the cascading of performance contracting at the various levels of the organization Monitoring the implementation of the corporate performance targets and reporting Monitoring the implementation of the corporate performance targets and undertake reporting Preparing, quarterly, semi-annual and annual corporate performance report; Liaising with the inter-agencies performance monitoring and evaluation teams and providing feedback Developing periodic performance report and submitting to the relevant government performance management agencies in line with the communicated guidelines Participating in national steering and oversight committees on performance review Developing of corporate and departmental performance monitoring and evaluation tools; Liaise with departments on the monitoring of implementation milestone for the contracted corporate major projects and report; Conducting mid-term and end-term corporate performance assessment for the Authority’s strategy implementation and related programmes.
