ICEA Lion Group Branch Manager, Business Development Jobs in Kenya ICEA Lion Group Branch Manager, Business Development Jobs in Kenya Role Summary To achieve maximum sales profitability, growth, and account penetration within an assigned region or market segment by effectively selling the company’s products and services. The role involves personally contacting and securing new business accounts/customers. Roles & Responsibilities Sales & Marketing Promote, sell, and secure new business from existing and prospective customers through relationship‑based approaches. Exhibit consistent production targets of at least 5 years above Kshs 200M. Demonstrate products and services to customers and assist them in selecting suitable solutions. Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers. Research sources for prospective customers and assess potential. Conduct personal visits and presentations to medium‑sized groups and up‑market individuals. Promote brokers and agents to pursue clients at least two months in advance for renewal instructions. Ensure acquisition and retention targets are met. Plan and organize personal sales strategy to maximize return on time investment. Operational Procedures Ensure proposal forms and client documentation contain accurate personal details. Post accurate risk details online to facilitate quotations, risk notes, and policy documents. Provide high‑standard servicing of accounts, including regular follow‑up. Adhere strictly to Market Outreach operations manual and Code of Ethics. Enter all business contacts and daily movements into the system. Complete customer care feedback forms during visits and liaise with supervisors on issues raised. Expedite resolution of customer problems and complaints. Coordinate sales efforts with sales team, accounting, and underwriting departments. Analyze market potential and determine value of customers. Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, and competitive activities. Learning & Growth Stay updated on product applications, technical services, market conditions, and promotional trends. Participate in in‑house programmes, e‑learning, and customer‑related courses to expand product knowledge. Support and advocate the organization’s mission, vision, and core values. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance, Marketing, or other business‑related discipline. Diploma in Insurance (ACII or AIIK). Member of CII or IIK. Proficiency in IT system support skills. Strong presentation skills, including use of PowerPoint. Experience Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales and marketing. Insurance industry experience is an added advantage.
