MSF Jobs. Looking for an IT job in Kenya? MSF is recruiting a Deployment Officer – SDE Program position. Proficiency in supply chain workflows, project deployment, and change management is required . Mission : The Deployment Officer is responsible for ensuring the effective execution, training and reporting on the SDE solution’s deployment in all designated missions. He/she will ensure readiness checks are validated, conduct deployment with the end users et post deployment follow up, ensure stakeholder engagement, and effective user training. They will collect feedback from the users, monitor performance, and continuously improve deployment processes based on field experience and feedback. The Deployment Officer, based in Nairobi, will conduct deployments in MSF missions and projects both in-person and remotely. The role requires frequent travel to field locations (up to 75% of the time). In addition to deployment coordination, the Deployment Officer plays a key role in enabling user adoption through user training and change management, acting as a bridge between the field and the SDE product team to ensure that user feedback is collected, and escalated for incorporation into the product as solutions adapted to mission realities. This role also demands strong political acumen to navigate the diverse cultures, organizational dynamics, and power structures across multiple OCs. The Deployment Officer will also be involved in the facilitation of (TOT) workshops for end users in collaboration with multiple team members This position will be hierarchically and functionally accountable to the SDE Deployment Manager. Tasks & Responsibilities Deployment Execution & Technical Readiness Send out, follow up on, and consolidate pre-deployment readiness checklists for target field missions and projects. Physically or remotely inspect site readiness based on specific location requirements (e.g., Pharmacies & Warehouses) Coordinate with field focal points to secure resource availability for upcoming deployment cycles Execute on-site deployment activities, including user onboarding, Go-Live support, and immediate troubleshooting Field Readiness & Stakeholder Engagement Ensure missions are fully deployment-ready by bridging coordination between field leadership, IT, and supply teams Facilitate local change management initiatives to actively drive stakeholder engagement and user buy-in Support capacity transfer to field teams to enable autonomous post-deployment troubleshooting, progressively reducing central support reliance Training Workshops & Capacity building Collaborate with training stakeholders to prepare localized training materials and pre-workshop checklists Conduct high-impact in-person training and interactive webinars for various trainee demographics Facilitate Training of Trainers (TOT) workshops to build autonomous, sustainable local capacity Go-Live, Adoption & Deployment Material Evolution Monitor user adoption metrics and address deployment resistance or localized blockers Track and report key deployment KPIs to the Deployment manager, including time-to-deploy, adoption rates, error reduction, and user satisfaction Capture lessons learned from field deployments and share with the Deployment manager for updates to the central deployment kit, tools, and user guidance Ensure all deployment materials remain adapted to local mission contexts, infrastructure, and user profiles (connectivity, language, literacy) Qualifications Education Degree in Supply Chain, Project Management, IT Systems, Pharmacy Stock/Warehouse management or related field. Relevant certifications (Training of Trainers, Change Management) are assets. Experience At least 2 years of experience in project deployment, ideally within new digital tools in complex field environments. Strong MSF field experience in supply chain, logistics or pharma (minimum 1 year). Proven experience in conducting complex roll-outs and change management in challenging humanitarian settings. Languages: Fluent in English (written and spoken); French is essential. Spanish or Arabic an asset Competencies Technical Competencies Strong understanding of supply chain workflows, particularly stock management. Strong capacity building and knowledge transfer skills. Solid knowledge of deployment of IT solutions is an advantage. Familiarity with UniField, Isystock, or other MSF-relevant tools preferred. Behavioral/General Competencies Highly Organized: Able to manage multiple locations in different phases of deployment in parallel.
