Nursing Council of Kenya Deputy Director, Human Resource & Administration Jobs Nursing Council of Kenya Deputy Director, Human Resource & Administration Jobs Key Responsibilities Coordinate development, implementation, and monitoring of HR and Administration policies, frameworks, and strategies. Lead workforce planning, staffing analysis, succession planning, and talent management. Manage recruitment, selection, induction, deployment, promotion, transfer, and separation processes. Oversee performance management systems, contracts, appraisals, and improvement initiatives. Coordinate employee learning, training needs assessments, mentorship, and leadership development. Oversee employee relations, disciplinary processes, grievance management, and industrial relations. Administer staff compensation, payroll, pensions, gratuity schemes, medical insurance, and welfare programmes. Maintain staff establishment records, job descriptions, organizational structures, and HRIS. Coordinate job evaluation, organizational design, and career progression. Ensure compliance with labour laws, public service regulations, and governance requirements. Manage administration services including records, office administration, transport, fleet, safety, and outsourced services. Promote staff engagement, wellness, diversity, inclusion, and productivity. Coordinate departmental budgets, procurement plans, work plans, and performance reports. Support HR automation, digital transformation, and HRIS implementation. Supervise, mentor, coach, and evaluate departmental staff. Qualifications & Experience Master’s Degree in HRM, Public Administration, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field. Bachelor’s Degree in HRM, Public Administration, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Social Sciences, or related field. Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP‑K). Membership of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) with valid practising certificate. Leadership Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks. Proficiency in computer applications. At least ten (10) years’ HR and Administration experience, with three (3) years in management. Demonstrated results in workforce planning, talent management, employee relations, and performance management. Key Skills & Competencies Strategic HR management. Workforce planning and talent management. Labour laws and HR compliance. Leadership and change management. Employee relations and conflict resolution. Communication and interpersonal skills.
