Education: Quality & MEAL Advisor Job Type Full Time Qualification MBA/MSc/MA Experience: 5 years Location Nairobi Job Field Education: / Teaching / Training JOB PURPOSE The position provides technical leadership for quality assurance, monitoring and evaluation systems, and data use within the Education: sector. The role serves as the custodian of the Child Results Area for Education, supports the design and functioning of digital education: quality systems (i.e. Measuring Education: Quality Achieved platform), and works across functions and teams to strengthen evidence generation, data quality, portfolio tracking, annual reporting, and learning for decision making and produce regular analytical outputs that identify trends, data quality issues, implementation gaps, and actionable insights for decision-making. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Quality Assurance (QA) and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Custodianship for Education: Serve as the quality assurance and M&E custodian for the Child Results Area for Education. Support the development, implementation, and review of global education: indicators, tools, and reporting processes. Ensure education: data is complete, accurate, timely, and aligned with organisational standards. Serve as the focal point with external partners on M&E tools and systems such as Tangerine. Digital Education: Platform Systems Operations, Training, Support, and Management Oversee the operation, capacity building, and day-to-day functioning of the Measuring Education: Quality Achieved (MEQA) platform. In collaboration with technical experts, develop education: digital observation tools and design Power BI dashboards for MEQA and future digital M&E solutions. Partner with the Digital Solutions team to integrate AI tools as appropriate and feasible. Provide technical support to users and ensure systems are fit for purpose. Contribute to system improvements, troubleshooting, documentation, and user guidance. Evidence Building and Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with World Vision M&E, Education: and other relevant colleagues to strengthen evidence building and use in education: programming. Support the generation and synthesis of evidence for learning, performance review, and program improvement. Contribute to documentation of lessons learned, best practices, and outcome monitoring. Lead on the development of Education: annual reports, case studies, and knowledge products. Lead periodic reviews of education: indicator trends, data completeness, data quality, and dashboard insights with global and country teams Capacity Strengthening and Support Lead the facilitation of M&E Education: community of practice Develop learning tools in collaboration with the Knowledge Management and Capabilities Advisor Build staff capacity on quality assurance, M&E systems, data interpretation, and use of dashboards. Support coordination and alignment across education: reporting and learning processes. Provide coaching and technical support to teams as needed. Data Utilization, Visualization, and Dashboards Develop and maintain dashboards, visualizations, and summary products that support interpretation and action. Conduct routine analysis of education: data to identify trends, outliers, gaps, and emerging issues; translate findings into recommendations for teams and leadership Develop and maintain monthly/quarterly analysis briefs, indicator trend reviews, dashboard summaries, and data quality reports. Promote use of data for decision-making at project, national, and regional levels. Strengthen data communication so findings are accessible to technical and non-technical audiences. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE Master’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Digital Monitoring Systems or other relevant discipline At least five (5) years of experience: working in education: Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), quality assurance, or data systems. Strong background developing and managing backend digital data systems, dashboards, and reporting tools in Power BI, Excel, KOBO or similar analytics tools. Demonstrated experience: producing analysis briefs, dashboard narratives, data quality reviews, and decision-support products for technical and non-technical audiences. Strong analytical, communication, and facilitation skills. Ability to learn new digital platforms quickly. Demonstrated MEAL experience. PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE Education: sector experience: is preferred but not mandatory if strong MEAL expertise exists. Ability to work collaboratively across technical teams. Experience: translating data into practical program improvement actions. Experienced facilitator and strong knowledge of adult Learning methodologies Knowledge of the global education: landscape, trends and emerging issues Comfort using technology to drive program quality. Analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Language Requirements: Fluency/high level of professional and technical spoken and written English . Fluency in another language (French, Spanish, Arabic, Portuguese) is an added advantage. Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement : Work setting: Homeworking. The position requires the ability and willingness to travel nationally and/or internationally up to 30% of the time.
