Looking for a project management job in Kenya? NLAS is hiring a Principal Planning Officer skilled in strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), and performance management. JOB REFERENCE NO. NLAS/PPO/5/1/2026/17 Qualifications For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have; At least nine (9) cumulative work experience, three (3) of which should have been at grade of Senior Planning Officer or in a comparable position in the Private or Public sector; Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Economics, Economics and Statistics, Economics and Mathematics, Statistics, Economics and Finance or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; Certificate in Management Course Membership to a relevant professional body; Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and result; Duties and Responsibilities The Principal Planning Officer is responsible for the following functions; Implementing NLAS strategic plan and service charter; Coordinating baseline surveys on service delivery; Undertaking feasibility studies on NLAS programme and projects; Coordinating the development of departmental work plans and aligning budget and strategic objectives and goals; Coordinating performance contracting and reporting; Coordinating project prioritization process for MTEF in accordance to budget calendar; and Providing input in the preparation of strategic plan. Remuneration will be in accordance with NLAS Salary Scale: NLAS GRADE 5.
