Sales Intern supporting business development and customer acquisition activities, requiring a Certificate in Sales or Marketing with a valid motorcycle riding licence and ability to ride confidently, in a field sales environment, on-site role. We are looking for two energetic, hardworking and highly motivated Sales Interns to join our team and support our business development and customer acquisition activities. The ideal candidates should be comfortable working in the field, travelling to different locations, meeting potential customers and learning how to identify and develop new business opportunities. Key Responsibilities: Field Sales & Lead Generation Travel to different towns and areas within Nairobi and surrounding areas using a company-approved motorbike. Identify potential customers and business opportunities for Ourfundi. Visit real estate companies, property managers, schools, offices, institutions, residential developments and other potential clients. Introduce Ourfundi’s services to potential customers and share company profiles, brochures and marketing materials. Identify key decision-makers and collect relevant contact information for follow-up. Generate qualified leads and hand them over to the Business Development team for follow-up. Market Mapping & Prospecting Research and identify new businesses, institutions, estates and developments that may require maintenance and repair services. Identify new construction projects, residential estates, schools, offices and commercial buildings that could become potential Ourfundi clients. Maintain an updated list of prospects and opportunities visited. Gather basic information about potential customers, including contact persons, telephone numbers, locations and potential maintenance needs. Business Development Support Work closely with the Business Development team to support customer acquisition activities. Assist in delivering tenders, quotations, company profiles, proposals and other business documents to clients and organizations when required. Support follow-ups with prospects and assist the team in converting leads into business opportunities. Participate in sales meetings, field visits and other business development activities. Marketing & Brand Promotion Distribute Ourfundi flyers, brochures and other promotional materials to targeted customers. Promote awareness of Ourfundi’s maintenance and repair services. Provide feedback on customer responses, competitor activities and market opportunities. Identify areas where Ourfundi can increase its visibility and customer reach. Reporting & Planning Submit a weekly field activity report showing: Locations visited Companies/institutions visited Contact persons identified Leads generated Documents/flyers distributed Customer feedback Opportunities identified Challenges encountered Submit a weekly plan outlining the areas, organizations and prospects they intend to visit the following week. Maintain accurate records of all field activities. Teamwork & Learning Work closely with the Business Development, Operations and Technical teams. Support other reasonable business development activities assigned by the supervisor. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidates must: Be between 21 and 25 years old. Have a Certificate in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Business Development or a related field. Must be able to ride a motorbike confidently. Must have a valid motorcycle riding licence. This is a mandatory requirement. Be willing and comfortable travelling extensively within Nairobi and to locations outside Nairobi when required. Be energetic, proactive and comfortable approaching new customers. Have good communication and interpersonal skills. Be willing to learn and receive guidance from the team. Be organized and able to prepare weekly reports and plans. Be able to work independently while also working effectively as part of a team. Be reliable, punctual and professional when representing Ourfundi to customers.
