The successful candidate will support the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of fisheries and aquaculture programs while promoting sustainable fisheries management and community livelihoods. Min Qualification: Bachelors Experience Level: Mid level Experience Length: 2 years Language Requirement: English Working Hours: Full Time - 8 to 5 Applicant Location: Nairobi, Kenya Job descriptions & requirements Key Responsibilities Coordinate and implement fisheries and aquaculture projects and activities. Provide technical support and guidance to fish farmers, fisherfolk, and community groups. Conduct field assessments, surveys, and data collection on fisheries resources. Monitor fish production, harvesting, processing, and marketing activities. Promote sustainable fisheries management practices and environmental conservation. Prepare technical reports, project updates, and recommendations. Facilitate training and capacity-building programs for stakeholders. Ensure compliance with fisheries regulations, policies, and industry standards. Collaborate with government agencies, research institutions, and development partners. Support project planning, budgeting, monitoring, and evaluation activities. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Fisheries, Aquaculture, Marine Science, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science, or a related field. Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience in fisheries management, aquaculture, or community-based natural resource projects. Knowledge of fisheries regulations, aquaculture systems, and sustainable resource management. Experience in project implementation, data collection, and report writing. Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams. Willingness to travel frequently to field locations. Competencies Excellent organizational and planning skills. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities. Problem-solving and decision-making skills. High level of integrity and professionalism. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
