Judicial Service Commission (JSC) is hiring a Chairperson, Capital Markets Tribunal to provide legal leadership, oversee tribunal proceedings, resolve capital markets disputes, interpret relevant legislation, and ensure fair and effective decision-making. A Bachelor’s degree in Law is required, admission as an Advocate is required, and relevant legal experience is required. Qualifications: Pursuant to Section 35A (1)(a) of the Capital Markets Act (Cap. 485A), an applicant to be appointed as Chairperson, Capital Markets Tribunal must possess the following qualifications. Bachelor of Laws degree from a university recognized in Kenya; Be an advocate of the High Court of Kenya; Have at least seven (7) years of post-admission experience; Qualification and experience in alternative dispute resolution will be an added advantage; Have a high moral character, integrity, and impartiality (meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution on Leadership and Integrity).
