Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, graphic design, and digital content creation is required. Key Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Communication Department and in collaboration with the cultural and educational teams, the consultant will be responsible for: Providing artistic direction for the communication materials of the Alliance Française de Nairobi Ensuring the consistent implementation of the institution’s visual identity across all communication channels Designing and producing a wide range of communication tools related to: cultural programming and events, French language courses, translation services, institutional communication, partnerships and special projects. Developing and adapting templates in line with the new brand guidelines Producing format adaptations and resizing for both print and digital media Creating visual assets for social media campaigns and digital communication Generating creative content ideas and supporting online engagement strategies Preparing and optimizing multimedia content before publication Collaborating closely with internal teams to meet communication needs and production deadlines Qualifications & Experience The ideal candidate should demonstrate: Strong graphic design and visual communication skills Excellent command of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) Understanding of branding systems and editorial design Experience designing both print and digital platforms Knowledge of social media formats and content production workflows Strong attention to detail and consistency Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously Interest in arts, culture, and contemporary creative industries Motion design and video editing skills are considered an asset Knowledge of French is an advantage but not mandatory CONTRACT CONDITIONS Consultancy contract based in Nairobi Duty station: Alliance Française de Nairobi – on site 5 days per week Initial duration: 3 months, renewable and with potential opportunities for further engagement. Monthly consultancy fee: KES 65,000 Payment: end of every month, subject to applicable tax French language training at Alliance Française (approximately 240 hours, equivalent to a full A1, A2, B1, or B2 level) – valued at KES 90,500.
