University of Eastern Africa, Baraton is hiring a Tutorial Fellow in Clinical Medicine to deliver lectures, facilitate tutorials and assist in curriculum development within the health sciences programme. The role is based in Eldoret & university teaching experience is required. Key Responsibilities Teach diploma courses within the Department of Clinical Medicine and other programmes where relevant. Develop teaching materials for blended learning. Promote the mission and vision of the Department and the University. Participate in the preparation of departmental plans and academic documents. Provide professional and practical clinical training to students. Organize and supervise educational activities, including clinical placements and educational trips. Attend and participate in seminars, workshops and conferences. Participate in planning, development, implementation and evaluation of departmental curricula. Participate in departmental meetings and other School activities. Serve as Academic Advisor by mentoring students and providing career guidance while maintaining high ethical standards. Set, moderate, administer and mark examinations and assignments, and submit semester grades as stipulated by the University. Perform any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the University Administration. Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess: A Master’s Degree in Clinical Medicine or a relevant field from a recognized institution. A Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Medicine from an accredited/recognized university. A minimum KCSE mean grade of C+ or its equivalent. A valid practicing license from the Clinical Officers Council (COC) of Kenya. At least three (3) years of teaching and/or research experience at university level as a Tutorial Fellow or Research Fellow. Clinical experience in a healthcare setting will be an added advantage. Demonstrated proficiency in modern teaching methods, including the use of technology and simulation tools in clinical education.
