Oasis Healthcare Jobs. Looking for a medical job in Kenya? Oasis Healthcare is recruiting a Critical Care Nurse position in Kakamega. Proficiency in critical care nursing, patient monitoring, and life-support interventions is required. Overall Responsibility To provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients by delivering continuous assessment, advanced patient monitoring, life-support interventions, and evidence-based nursing care while ensuring patient safety and quality clinical outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in ICU/HDU. Monitor patients\’ vital signs and promptly respond to changes in clinical condition. Administer medications, intravenous therapies, and blood products safely and accurately. Operate and monitor critical care equipment, including ventilators, cardiac monitors, and infusion pumps. Assist in emergency procedures, resuscitation, and advanced life support interventions. Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation. Implement infection prevention and patient safety protocols. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care. Educate and support patients\’ families regarding treatment and ongoing care. Ensure proper use and maintenance of critical care equipment and supplies. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and continuous professional development. Uphold professional, ethical, and regulatory nursing standards at all times. Job Qualifications & Skills Diploma or Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a recognized institution. Higher Diploma in Critical Care Nursing. Registered nurse with a valid Nursing Council of Kenya practicing license. Valid BLS and ACLS certification; At least two years\’ experience in the ICU, HDU, emergency department, or a similar critical care setting.
