Looking for a project management job in Kenya? MYCP is hiring a Partnerships & Fundraising Officer skilled in donor relations, grant writing, proposal development, and strategic partner acquisition. About the Role The Partnerships & Fundraising Officer helps MYCP build the relationships and resources needed to expand our impact. Working with the Partnerships Lead and colleagues across the organisation, you will identify and cultivate partnerships with institutional donors, NGOs, foundations, companies, and other stakeholders to strengthen MYCP’s long-term sustainability. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in partnerships and business development, stakeholder engagement, fundraising, and nonprofit development within a global youth-led organisation. You will report to the Partnerships Lead. This is a fully remote, volunteer position, with an expected commitment of 3–5 hours per week. Key Responsibilities Research and identify potential partners, sponsors, funders, and supporters aligned with MYCP’s mission Establish collaborative partnerships with organisations and institutions Help identify grant, funding, and sponsorship opportunities suitable for MYCP Support the preparation of funding applications, expressions of interest, and donor communications Maintain records of partnership and fundraising activities using MYCP’s systems Work collaboratively with teams across #THINK, #DELIVER, and #ENGAGE to identify partnership opportunities and support organisational initiatives Contribute ideas to diversify MYCP’s fundraising activities and strengthen organisational sustainability What You’ll Gain Practical experience in partnership development and nonprofit fundraising Experience researching and engaging external stakeholders across the public, private, and civil society sectors Exposure to grant funding, sponsorship, and donor engagement processes Opportunities to develop proposal writing, relationship management, and strategic communication skills Experience working within a diverse, international youth-led organisation Person Specification Aged between 18 and 30 years old Strong written and verbal communication skills in English An interest in partnerships, fundraising, business development, international development, or the nonprofit sector Strong research and organisational skills, with attention to detail Confidence communicating professionally with external stakeholders Ability to work independently while collaborating within an international team Previous experience in fundraising, partnerships, sales, business development, or grant writing is desirable but not required Passion for youth participation, international collaboration, and creating positive social impact We strongly encourage applications from individuals with lived experience of migration, displacement, or statelessness, and from underrepresented communities.
