The Draftsman plays a critical role in translating engineering designs into clear, buildable drawings for factory use, site execution, and client approval. Min Qualification: Diploma Experience Level: Mid level Experience Length: 2 years Language Requirement: English Working Hours: Full Time - 8 to 5 Applicant Location: Kenya Job descriptions & requirements A. Technical Drawing & Documentation · Produce detailed structural and layout drawings for precast beams, blocks, and supporting elements based on inputs from the Design Engineer. · Prepare shop drawings, reinforcement details, assembly plans, and connection details for factory production and site installation. · Develop general arrangement (GA) drawings, sections, and details for client submissions and approvals. B. Coordination & Review · Collaborate with the Design Engineer to ensure all drawings reflect accurate structural intent and comply with design specifications. · Revise drawings based on feedback from engineers, clients, or authorities. · Coordinate with the Factory Manager to ensure production drawings are clear and aligned with casting capabilities. C. Drawing Management · Maintain organized and up-to-date drawing registers for all projects. · Ensure proper version control and archiving of drawing files (digital and hard copy). · Assist in preparing drawing packages for client submissions and site teams. D. Compliance & Quality · Ensure all drawings meet applicable standards, including company drafting standards, local building codes, and project-specific requirements. · Check dimensions, tolerances, and structural details to minimize errors during production and construction. E. Continuous Improvement · Adhere to structural safety standards, quality control procedures, and regulatory requirements. · Stay updated on industry innovations, structural design practices, and drafting software tools.
